WHAT IS A HYDROSOL?
Very simply, a hydrosol is the water that is distilled along with the essential oil
Once the water and oil have separated, the essential oil is siphoned off the top and what you have left is the hydrosol.
A “hydrosol” is actually a chemistry term meaning “water solution.” Hydrosols may also be known by several other names:
Hydrolats
Hydrolates
Floral Waters
Plant Waters
Hydrosols aren't as concentrated as essential oils & so can be used undiluted on the skin by all ages.
HOWEVER:
* Clary sage essential oil is considered unsuitable for pregnancy as has been
associated with inducing contractions
Even though the hydrosol is approx 1% concentration of the essential oil, its best to err on the side of caution
There a lot more hydrosols to enjoy during pregnancy
Leave it for your labour under medical supervision & advice 💥💥💥

FRESH 👍The beauty of being a small business is that we can make individual batches of natural skin products to order, so that they are incredibly fresh.
PRESERVATIVE FREE 👍
NATURAL👍
What does The Wild Irish Skincare mean by natural?
When I refer to our natural skincare products, I mean they have 100% natural ingredients.
ALL of them. A 100% Natural Line.
Even the ingredients under .0001% of my recipes.
You won't find them in stores or packed in warehouses.
Why? Because they don't contain preservatives or synthetic ingredients designed to make them last for years.
The natural shelf life of the product is as nature intended. 12 to 18 months .
GOOD VALUE 👍
SUSTAINABLE/ECO FRIENDLY 👍
WHAT DOES "NATURAL" ACTUALLY MEAN?
Natural, naturally derived, free from, clean, synthetic-free....sounds amazing, but what on earth does it all mean!?
As "green beauty" becomes more and more mainstream, these buzzwords appear to be all over product labels and hashtags.
It can get a little confusing.
With the absense of regulations on what a brand must do to use these terms, "natural" can mean there are also non-natural ingredients inside a skincare product and it can still be called a natural product.
And so a lot of the "green" claims are not to be taken automatically at face value.
THE WILD IRISH SKINCARE IS COMMITTED TO A 100% NATURAL PRODUCT LINE
PS. Synthetics aren't always a bad choice, depending on function and integrity. Some can add to the efficency of a skincare product without negative impact. However, i prefer to keep my skincare safe, gentle & unadulterated by using ingredients as close to nature with as little processing possible to retain all the natural goodness & antioxidants.
Ingredients never used in The Wild Irish Skincare;
ALUMINUM: Used to prevent sweating. Added to antiperspirants and some cosmetics. Blocks the body’s ability to get rid of toxins and is linked to Alzheimer’s disease.
COAL TAR DYE: A coloring agent in toothpaste, hair dye, bubble bath, and more that is linked to allergies, headaches, anxiety, and nervousness.
DEA, TEA, MEA: Additives in personal care products that can cause allergic reactions.
FORMALDEHYDE: A widely used preservative in baby products, nail polish,
cleaning products, and cosmetics. Irritates skin and eyes, increases other allergic
reactions.
FRAGRANCE: Chemicals used to artificially scent cosmetics, skin care, and baby products. Fragrance is also used to ‘mask’ the smell of other ingredients in a product so that it can be labeled as ‘unscented’. Flares up allergies, headaches,
and respiratory issues.
MINERAL OIL: A petroleum product that is used in cosmetics and baby products to make the skin feel smooth. Blocks pores which stops your body’s ability to get rid of toxins.
PROPYLENE GLYCOL: An additive to hydrate skin that is found in body wash and shampoos. Causes dysfunction in organs and malfunction of the
nervous system in children.
PARABENS: Preservatives that extend the shelf life of personal care and beauty products. These build up in breast tissue and stimulate growth of cancer
cells.
PHTHALATES: Preservatives that extend the shelf life of personal care and cleaning products. Negatively impact reproduction and male fertility.
SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE (SLS): A chemical additive to produce bubbles and suds in soap. Builds up in brain, liver, and can cause severe skin allergies.
TALC: Found in baby powders, cosmetics, and condoms. Linked to ovarian cancer.
TRICLOSAN: An antibacterial additive found in soaps and cosmetics. Can cause skin sensitivity, liver damage, and messes with hormones.
Geat care is taken to ensure skin products remain as close to nature as possible.
The less processing involved in the raw ingredients, the more precious antioxidants and nutrients remain.
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid direct sunlight. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
